Pentru că şcoala este una din cele mai importante instituţii de acolo, nu am omis-o. Din întâmplare, însă, am ajuns într-o sală de clasă. Deasupra uşii scria "clasele I-IV secţia română". Intru.<br />Înauntru, 15-20 de pui de oameni, de toat naţiile şi vârstele, colorau fructele de toamnă. În mijlocul lor, doamna Maria. Genul de femeie pe care oricine şi-ar dori-o ca mamă. M-a încărcat cu atâta energie pozitivă că-mi venea să o strâng în braţe.<br />Ţigani, români, unguri. Toţi împreună, de la clasa I până la clasa a IV-a.<br />M-am pus în ultima bancă. În faţa mea, două ţigăncuşe, surori, înconjurate de culori, se concentrau la cartea de colorat. Vine la mine Garvril, un pui de ţigan cu ochi albaştri şi pistrui pe nas. Se uită la aparatul meu. Vrea să îi fac o poză. Încurajaţi, toţi copiii se strâng în jurul meu.<br />Le fac poze.<br />Unul dintre ei, mai mare, îmi citeşte o poezie de toamnă.<br />Masa e gata, pâine cu zacuscă, pentru cei care nu au pacheţele cu mânare de acasă.<br />Trei dintre elevi nu au acte. Nu există, însă eu îi pot simţi. Le-am atins creioanele colorate şi i-am ajutat să coloreze, le-am făcut poze. Există şi sunt atât de frumoşi.<br />I-am spus lui Gavril că m-am îndrăgostit de el. S-a ruşinat. Şi pus coatele la ochi.
